It never ceases to amaze me how all my blooms fade but as the snow melts there are the weeds, green and ready to go. Those long rooted monsters just keep going and going. I just don’t have the energy to go out and pull them yet.

Right now is a good time to start those spring lists for the garden. I’ve got mine going already, planning my budget and what I really need to get started.

Get those pruners sharpened now while winter is with us. Get them ready for April pruning. Well, at least this year. Last year we pruned in March believe it or not.

I haven’t ordered as many roses for spring this year. I’ve started my annual order with Rosesunlimited in South Carolina (http://www.rosesunlimitedownroot.com/). I’m going to be potting up many of my miniature roses this year. I need to regroup in that particular category.
