Our Next Meeting will be at Patti Jacko’s Home on Monday July 29, 2013 from 7-9pm. Bring a guest. Patti will give a very brief talk on “Gardening for the Mature Gardener”. This subject is near and dear to Patti’s heart as she “matures” as a gardener.
We will have refreshements and there will be a free will donation if you wish to help WRRS. Also you might want to consider bringing a lawn chair as there is limited area to sit down.
Other groups attending will be members of the West Park United Church of Christ, Our Savior Lutheran Church, St. John Neumann Catholic Church, The Hinckley Garden Club. Ummm…also we may have a few four legged visitors as the dog circle will be back again in the front of Patti’s Home. ALL DOGS ARE WELCOME!
We all had a great time and learned something from Susan Ramsey, owner of Susan’s Daylilies. WRRS tries to have at least one speaker a year that is about companion plants to roses. Susan is obviously passionate about her subject and was very entertaining. Many of us are planning a visit to her farm in Sharon Center, Ohio.
For those of us who grow Daylilies with our Roses, and even if you don’t (or you just grow daylilies)
Our next meeting will be really informative.
The program will be “3000+ Day lilies…It Started as Just a Hobby”. The program will be presented by Susan Ramey of Medina . After the program, there is a question and answer session of rose care. Bring a friend. Daylily pictures were taken by Patti Jacko in her yard.
